Site: An amazing cave with two seaward entrances. At cetain times everything inside appears blue.

Marine Life: Nudibranchs, Lobsters and lots of shells.

 

Whiskey Reef

Maximum Depth: 16m

Site: An unusual collection of open ended caves frequented by rays.

Marine Life: Indian Mackerel, Schooling Snapper and Feather Tail Rays

 

Liman Rock

Maximum Depth: 40m

Site: A stunning asortment of pinnacles, gullies and drop-offs.

Marine Life: Sergeant Major fish, Fusileers, Puffer fish.

 

Oakley Island

Marimum Depth: 35m

Site: A small boulder type rock formation teaming with a variety of larger marine life.

Marine Life: Pygmy Eagle Rays, Lobsters and schooling fish.

 

Ra’s Marovi

Maximum Depth: 30m

Site: Nice rock formations with some small caves. An abundance of corals and other marine life.

Marine Life: Losbters, Rays and leopard Sharks.

 

The Stack

Maximum Depth: 30m

Site: A giant pinnacle coming up to just below the surface. Occasionally visited by Leopard Sharks.

Marine Life: Bat Fish, Trigger fish and Jacks.

 

Ra’s as Samid

Scuba Diving

Maximum Depth: 30m

Site: A combination of pinnacles, rock formations and drop-offs. A great dive with lots to see.

Marine Life: All the usual Omani marine life.

 

Ra’s Sarkan

Maximum Depth: 30m

Site: A drift dive from the point along a wall. Lots of Teddy bear coral.

Marine Life: Barracuda, Rays and Turtles.

 

LOCAL DIVE SITES

 

Snoopy Island

Maximum Depth: 8m

Site: A lovely little island situates just off the Sandy Beach shore. Underwater rock formations covered with hard corals.

Marine Life: Clown fish, Moray Eels, Procupine Puffer fish and Trigger fish.

 

Three Rocks

Maximum Depth: 14m

Site: Three stunning pinnacies surrounded by an amazing array of marine life. A favorite among Al Boom Diving Instructors for night diving. Just 5 minutes from the dive centre by boat.

Marine Life: Pipe fish, Clown fish, Barracuda and Turtles.

 

Shark Island

Maximum Depth: 16m

Site: A beautiful island with plenty of variety such as shallow reefs, rock formations and gardens. A huge Honeycomb Moray Eel resides at the back and of the island.

Marine Life: Sergeant Major fish, fusileers, Puffer fish and Turtles.

 

Anemone Gardens

Maximum Depth: 22m

Site: A magical garden reef covered with soft corals and anemones. A favorite with macro photographers.

Marine Life: Sea horses, Nudbranchs and occasionally Guitar Sharks.

 

Coral Gardens

Maximum Depth: 30m

Site: A remote garden of corals on a sloping sandy bottom. Lots of Gorgonias and horn corals.

Marine Life: trumpet fish and Snowflake Moray Eels.

 

Hole in the Wall

Maximum Depth: 16m

Site: An interesting pinnacle dive, with a hidden dive through cave which houses a massive ray with a severed tail.

Marine Life: Lobsters, Clown fish and Emperor Angle fish.

 

Martini Rock

Maximum Depth: 21m

Site: A stunning rock formation that is totally covered in soft corals. Considered to be one of the best dives sites in the ar Marine Life: Lion Fish, Parrot Fish, Trigger fish and Moray Eels.

 

Dibba Rock

Maximum Depth: 16m Site: Heading north, this beautiful site is home to many hawks bill turtles and a unique collection of hard corals.

Marine Life: Rays, Snappers, Turtles and various shoal fish.
